Upon the completion of our third reading of the draft Custom
Election Code the membership will be required to vote on the
acceptance or denial of the “Driftpile Cree Nation Custom
Election Code Regulations” as presented.


The successful bidder will be required to provide an Electoral
Officer to conduct 2 advance polls, as follows:

February 13, 2024 in Prince George, BC

February 20, 2024 in Edmonton, AB

AND, one main poll: February 27, 2024 at Driftpile Community Hall


At the close of polls on the final day, publicly count the votes and
declare an outcome. If the outcome in in favor of acceptance,
the Electoral Officer must sign a declaration of the outcome that
meets the minimum requirements to facilitate the removal of
Driftpile Cree Nation from the Indian Act election provisions,
Section 7 4 through 79 inclusive.


The bidder will be responsible for all administrative costs
associated with carrying out the public notifications,
administration of the polls, support staff, counting, travel and
personal accommodations.


DCN will pay directly for the rental of the spaces to host the polls
and any refreshments provided.


Proposals must be emailed directly to the DCN Executive
Manager and must include the name(s) of the proposed
electoral officer (EO), deputy electoral officer(s), and any
other support staff that will accompany the EO as well as
clearly state the date(s) and cities/towns indicated above
and the proposed cost for each.
